Inspiration

This art gallery is a meditative journey by the artist, seeking to draw the viewer in through an exploration of repetitive patterns that express chaos emerging from order. This series aims to explore the boundary between color and the absence of color, allowing for self-expression in the space between the two. It processes emotions through the use of fine details, shapes, lines, and a personal exploration of color—often without prior planning—allowing the artwork to evolve organically and bring emotional processing to life on paper.

Style: Draws inspiration from 18th-century engravings (cartography).

Techniques & Materials: The techniques used in this collection combine cryptography and neurographics. The materials include watercolors using a wet-on-wet technique on recycled rice paper, fine-liner pens, ink, and a natural flow. These elements come together to create artwork that reflects the meditative state experienced while processing emotions, conveying various messages through the illustrations.

The Message: An invitation to dive into the detail-rich, mind-expanding meditation presented here.

Mother Earth

This work portrays Earth as a nurturing presence embracing a wounded world. The figure holds the planet with quiet compassion, accepting its pain while offering the last gift she can still give—care. Beneath the tenderness lies an urgent message about the fragility of our environment and humanity’s role in its future. The title, Mother Earth, reflects the enduring bond between nature and humanity. This work explores the connection between the natural world and the vastness of the cosmos. The whale, often seen as a symbol of wisdom, intuition, and ancient memory, rises beyond the boundaries of sea and sky, becoming a bridge between earthly existence and the infinite universe. Its movement reflects a journey of discovery, reminding us that growth often comes from exploring the unknown. The title, Cosmic Whale, combines two powerful symbols: the whale as a keeper of deep knowledge and the cosmos as a representation of limitless possibility. Together, they evoke a sense of wonder, interconnectedness, and the search for meaning beyond what can be seen. Created using ink illustration, Pointillism, and watercolor, the piece blends imagination and meditation, inviting the viewer to reflect on their place within a much larger whole.

Space Elf

This work emerged through an intuitive creative process, allowing imagination and subconscious imagery to guide the composition. The figure exists between fantasy and reality, embodying a sense of wonder, curiosity, and emotional connection to the world around it. Rather than presenting a fixed narrative, the piece invites viewers to find their own meanings within its dreamlike forms and symbols. The title, Space Elf, reflects the meeting of the cosmic and the mythical. The character becomes a traveler between inner and outer worlds, exploring the space where imagination, intuition, and mystery converge. Created using ink illustration, Pointillism, and watercolor, the piece celebrates the freedom of spontaneous creation and the unexpected stories that emerge from the subconscious mind.

Trippy Frog

This work explores the healing power of music and its ability to transform emotion, perception, and experience. The frog was chosen as a symbol of healing, resilience, and renewal, becoming a vessel for the restorative role that music plays in everyday life. The title, Trippy Frog, reflects the immersive nature of sound and the way music can transport us beyond ordinary states of mind. The colorful fluid flowing from the frog symbolizes the fluidity of music itself—constantly moving, changing, and dissolving boundaries. It also speaks to a deep fascination with music, blurring the line between comfort, passion, and dependence. Created using ink illustration, Pointillism, and watercolor, the piece celebrates music as both an escape and a source of connection, healing, and self-expression.

Bubbles

This work reflects the imagination, wonder, and emotional freedom of childhood. The bubbles symbolize fleeting thoughts, dreams, and moments of joy—small worlds that appear, transform, and disappear. Through the perspective of the child, the ordinary becomes magical, reminding us of the beauty found in curiosity and presence. The title, Bubbles, refers not only to the physical forms themselves, but also to the fragile and temporary nature of memories, emotions, and imagination. Like bubbles, these moments may be brief, yet they leave a lasting impression. Created using ink illustration, Pointillism, and watercolor, the piece celebrates the inner child and the ability to find wonder in the simplest experiences.

Looking In

This work is centered on the idea that the eyes are a window into the inner self. The solitary eye serves as a symbol of the emotions, memories, and experiences that exist beneath the surface, revealing aspects of our identity that words often cannot express. The surrounding colors flow and merge, reflecting the complexity and ever-changing nature of the human spirit. The title, Looking In, refers to the act of seeing beyond outward appearances and into the deeper layers of the self. It invites a moment of reflection, where understanding begins from within. Created using watercolor and colored pencils, the piece embraces fluidity and softness, mirroring the emotional depth and individuality found within every person.

Cosmic Mind

This work explores the idea that consciousness extends beyond the boundaries of the individual self. The mind is presented as both a personal and universal force—capable of imagination, reflection, and connection to something greater than everyday experience. The flowing forms suggest thoughts in motion, constantly evolving and expanding. The title, Cosmic Mind, refers to the relationship between inner awareness and the vastness of the universe. It reflects the belief that creativity, intuition, and self-discovery are part of a larger interconnected whole, where the mind becomes a bridge between the personal and the infinite. Created using ink illustration, Pointillism, and watercolor, the piece combines meditative mark-making with vibrant color to evoke a sense of wonder, introspection, and boundless possibility.

The Matriarch

This work explores identity as a collection of many interconnected layers. The figure symbolizes the strength of women throughout history—not through opposition, but through their ability to nurture, create, lead, endure, and adapt across generations. The fragmented yet unified forms reflect the complexity of the feminine experience and the many roles women carry throughout their lives. Created through a combination of Neurographic Art, Reptography, and Pointillism, the piece uses repetitive mark-making as a meditative practice, reflecting the gradual formation of identity, memory, and collective feminine wisdom.

Colorful Thoughts

This work explores the moment when emotion can no longer be contained and begins to expand beyond the self. Thoughts, memories, and feelings dissolve into a shared inner landscape, where the boundaries between the body and the mind become unclear. Suspended between control and surrender, the figure enters a state of transformation, revealing that human experience is often larger than the identities we try to hold onto. The use of blue and violet tones draws from mystical and spiritual symbolism, referencing the Third Eye and Crown chakras—centers associated with intuition, consciousness, and connection to realms beyond the physical self.

Neuro Waves

This work explores the hidden networks that connect thoughts, emotions, memories, and perception. Inspired by the structure of neural pathways, the flowing forms and interconnected patterns suggest a living system in constant motion, where every experience influences the next. The title, Neuro Waves, refers to the electrical and emotional currents that move through the mind. Rather than portraying a single thought, the piece reflects the complexity of consciousness itself—a web of connections, impulses, and awareness that continuously shapes our understanding of the world. Created using Neurographic Art, Reptography, and Pointillism, the repetitive mark-making process becomes a form of meditation, mirroring the rhythms and patterns found within the mind.

Drip Lip

This work reflects humanity’s endless hunger for consumption. The mouth biting into the Earth symbolizes the tendency to take more than we need, while the dripping forms represent greed, excess, and the growing consequences of unchecked desire. The title, Drip Lip, refers to this overflow of appetite—where consumption extends beyond necessity and begins to leave its mark on the world. Created using ink illustration, Pointillism, and watercolor, the piece explores the tension between human desire and our responsibility toward the planet.

Soul Tree

This work explores the relationship between growth and inner structure. Just as a tree draws strength from its roots while reaching toward the light, human development emerges from the continuous dialogue between experience, memory, and self-awareness. The organic forms intertwine and evolve, suggesting that transformation is not a linear process but a living network of connections that shape who we become. The tree symbolizes resilience, renewal, and the enduring connection between the inner and outer worlds. Its roots and branches mirror the ways in which personal growth is grounded in what lies beneath the surface, while constantly extending toward new possibilities. The piece was created through a combination of Neurographic Art, Reptography, and Pointillism. The repetitive and meditative nature of these techniques transforms the act of drawing into a contemplative practice, reflecting themes of mindfulness, presence

Sky Ring

This piece portrays the Griffon Vulture (Gyps fulvus), a species that has become a powerful symbol of conservation and ecological restoration. Inspired by Pria Bender’s personal involvement in vulture conservation efforts, the work reflects a deep connection between art, wildlife, and environmental stewardship. The title, Sky King, honors the vulture’s commanding presence in the skies and its vital role in maintaining healthy ecosystems. Often misunderstood, these birds are among nature’s most important caretakers, yet they remain vulnerable to human impact and habitat loss. Created using ink illustration and Pointillism, this work is the first in an ongoing series dedicated to endangered and threatened wildlife. Through this series, the artist seeks to raise awareness of species facing decline and to inspire a greater appreciation for the fragile biodiversity that surrounds us.

WEBBING MYSELF

This work explores the mental entanglements we create within ourselves. The spider's web serves as a metaphor for cycles of overthinking, self-reflection, anxiety, and the complex thought patterns that can gradually become difficult to escape. As both the weaver and the one caught within the web, the figure represents the paradox of the human mind—capable of creating both understanding and confinement. The title, Webbing Myself, refers to the tendency to become trapped within one's own thoughts, emotions, and narratives. The web is not an external force, but a structure woven from within, reflecting the intricate and often overwhelming nature of the inner world. Created using Neurographic Art, Reptography, and Pointillism, the meditative drawing process contrasts with the subject itself, transforming mental chaos into a visual language of connection, complexity, and self-exploration.

DNA

This work explores the visual language that naturally emerges through my meditative drawing process. Inspired by cartography, river systems, topographic maps, and organic patterns found in nature, the piece reflects my deep connection to landscapes, navigation, and the unseen structures that shape both the physical and inner worlds. The title, D.N.A., refers not only to biological inheritance, but to the unique patterns that define identity. The flowing central form resembles a river—a metaphor for the soul moving through life, shaped by experience while remaining connected to its source. Surrounding neurographic forms create a landscape of memory, thought, and connection. The cartographic elements found throughout the work have become a recurring visual signature within my artistic practice. Like a fingerprint, these patterns emerge intuitively, revealing the way I navigate both the natural world and my own inner terrain. Created using Neurographic Art, Reptography, and Pointillism, the piece blurs the boundaries between map, landscape, and self-portrait.
